Pre-work

The concept of the IoT Smart Bin originated with Junyi Ma during the AA meeting, where the initial idea was to design an automated bin equipped with fire detection and capacity monitoring functions. Following our collaborative brainstorming and research into available resources, we recognized that IoT products and smart city initiatives represent emerging trends within infrastructure development. Consequently, we elected to integrate this technology with a traditional waste bin to develop a home-use IoT Smart Bin. This marked the inception of our project's journey.
